What is an online TOTP generator?+
It calculates a temporary authentication code from your setup key and the current time. Most accounts use six digits with a 30-second period. Read the TOTP guide.
Do I need to create an account?+
No. This version runs in your browser and does not include an account vault. Reloading the authenticator clears your input and restores the public example.
Can I change the code settings?+
Yes. Advanced settings supports SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512, six or eight digits, and different periods. Standard otpauth links load their settings automatically.
Why does my code get rejected?+
Check the correct account, setup key, algorithm and period. Enable automatic device time, then use a fresh code. Our code troubleshooting guide walks through the checks.
